Scouts Arrow

It's finished.

I can't believe it.

This quilt is based on the pattern: Scout by Cluck Cluck Sew but due to a few mistakes this is what I ended up with. And let me just say I have never been happier with making a mistake.

The quilt is throw sized at only 55.5 x 64" but since I short I can still use it as a bed quilt. I had to use a Y seam and make up the measurements/pattern for the arrow head so it fit properly. I fell so in love with these colours and this pattern I decided to hand quilt it.

I am to entering it into the Bloggers Quilt festival. So if you can pop over and give it a vote :D

*hugs*

Hooked on Woodland

There is a stationary store down here called Typo that sells some pretty awesome stuff. It's the kind of shop you can't go into without spending money.

This morning my sister sends me the newsletter because she thinks I need to spend more money...I'm sure it was a lot less sinister than that but really what else am I supposed to do when I this sitting there calling me.

I pined for a few minutes and moved on. Well I tried.

I mean seriously this images are AWESOME. The book itself is dark brown and done in a synthetic leather and the animals are all done in gold. Inside it's like any other Moleskin journal, it even has the little pouch at the back.

After this I had to run from the store because let me tell you I lusted after one of those storage books. Even while running there was no escaping these.

They must have my imagination on speed dial, SERIOUSLY clouds?!?!?! could they be more perfect. I am happy to report that I did not buy the storage book or the clouds but if anyone is looking to get me a random welcome back to blogland present *cough* these would do very nicely thank you very much!

Anyway for anyone looking to check out some seriously quirky and very addictive stationary products they can be found online here.
I don't know if they ship overseas but if anyone did want some my father owns a shipping store so we can surely work something out.

Stay tuned for my baking adventures and another giveaway.

Don't forget there is still time to enter my Aurifil Give-a-way here.

A Lovley Year of Finishes 2013

My friend Sam who blogs here sent me a link today that might just change my life...maybe.

There are some ladies out there who have sent up something called A Lovely Year of Finishes. Every Month they set a goal to finish something. A UFO, a random pile of blocks that was supposed to become a quilt one day, anything.

For instance my goal for March is to piece all 74 (I have done 2.5) hexy flowers for my second Hexy MF which was supposed to be given as a birthday present next week.

Whoops!

Next add your blogged goal too the linky party either at Shanna's blog Fiber of All Sorts or at Melissa's blog Sew Bittersweet Designs and that's the easy part done and dusted.

Ready for the hard part?

FINISH your project!!!!
Blog about it and head back to the new linky party for finishes and your gold!

Sounds pretty good right? Nothing like Support and peer pressure to help you get the job done. well actually there is one thing better.

There are prizes

Yep lots of them every month and really if that's not enough motivation I don't know what would be.

Right well I better get off and start those flowers.

Also don't forget about my Aurifil Give-a-way you can read more about here.
