Merry go round.

Ok so at the moment I have way to many things that I am trying to do LOL which is just like me.
I have joined 2 groups on flicker sarah and molly's free piecing study there is more information on her Sarah's blog house of krom for those of you who want to join.

I have also joined Single Girl Support group you can find out more about the group and the quilt along from Terri's blog Sew Fantastic

Doesn't this quilt look awesome! Sew can't wait for it.

I have also signed up for The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery Fruit of the month challenge. Which is a cross stitch fruit every month. Sew cute!

Just a side note not only is the Frosted Pumpkins Logo awesome:

You can now buy the pattern for Sugarloaf the pumpkin which is beyond all comprehension of cuteness.

OK so you think that is enough?

Well not for me! I have also decided to try my had at wallet making. These are my fabrics which I bought from the Etsy shop BeautifulWork:

They came all the way from Japan. Alice in Wonderland, Peter Pan, Monsters Inc. I found a wallet tutorial from that*darn*kat so we will give that a try and see how good/non existent my skillz are.

So that is projects to come out of the way. Now an update on something I started a long time ago a Magic Baby Quilt the pattern is by Piece N Quilt (hop on over and check out Natalia's blog she is awesome!!!). Ingredients are simple and easy...shame good sewing skills aren't so easy to come by LOL. Anyway I have done all the crooked sewing and quilting...in which I actually sewing my finger in the machine...OUCH.

I know I need a new camera but hey she does the job.

Lots of love,

Material Obsession...

Ok so those of you who know me OR follow me on FB know I have a serious Material Obsession...that for some unknown reason I can't curb.

I bet what you didn't know is that 2 very talented ladies from Sydney (Australia) have made books about their Material Obsession (which I am trying to acquire).

These books are filled with awe inspiring quilts using colours that will make you want to explode with happiness! So let me tell you something else you may not have known...Sarah Fielke one of the writers of this beautiful book has come out with a fabric line....

From Little Things
(which can be purchased from the Fat Quarter Shop
) is a stunning mix of original and bright colours and designs. Just give me a minute while I hyperventilate...

*takes deep breath*

I think I'm ok now...no wait...

*takes a few more deep breaths*

So who wants to see a delicious set of FQ's designed by this lovely lady. I do that's who and no doubt most of you do too. But that's not always possible so we are going to have to settle for these for now.

Aren't they beautiful?!?!

My brain is working overtime with all the possibilities of these fabrics.

If you want to be entered to win a set of these beautiful FQ's just head on over to {House} of A La Mode and enter!

Warning just like Heather I may hate the winner of this competition just a little...so be careful who ever you are...LOL

Much Love,

p.s. be prepared for a massive post in the next day or so.

January Block Swap almost finished!

Ok so I've finally finished...well sort of. I've made my two January Blocks and I just have to sew them together! I'm waiting on some blue variegated thread my Mom is sending me...but it seems to have gotten lost between Christmas and the floods :S I hope it gets here soon!

That asside I'm super stoked that I have accomplished this. I made the pattern/design myself and put it all together! For my first quilting project on my own I think I've done well *YIPPEE*

This is the fist block i did and the prototype. I forgot that I had to made 2 so I pinned it all together and only cut one of everything.

So then the hard work began, unpinning, and labeling each shape so I knew what to put where.

I think the hardest part was cutting out the white wash a second time. But I did it and this is the result.

The right one is my sister Trystans and the right one is mine...but we'll see if they don't get mixed up before they get posted *shifty eyes* LOL.

So I will post again when I have manged to sew them together ^_^
