PB&J

SO I have discovered something truly wonderful.

PB&J or Peanut Butter and Jelly

*swoon*

These pillows made by Beth over at Etsy.com are a must and I think I must.

I have tried it once before and it never caught on...but I tried it the other day and now I can't stop eating it. Especially with my Cranberry, Raspberry and Strawberry jam...mmmm

My new found love of PB&J  has inspired me to make an x stitch & mug run to to celebrate and I have decided to use a x stitch from The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery.

I am also doing a class on basic x stitch using this pattern. SO if you would like to join head on over to Amanda & Ashleigh's store to get yourself a pattern (p.s. the webby has a list of all the tools needed, you'll have to buy the pattern to get the colours.

I'm sewing onto water soluble aida on a strip of Sunkissed so I can make my mug rug after I'm finished stitching. I also had to change the colours a bit because I didn't have all the ones called for but I think it's turning out just fine (and I kind of like the freedom of picking my own colours *squee*).

p.s. I will be making another one of these on Linen for the class ^_^

On a side note...things I am looking forward too:

Mug Rug Madness - 10 days of tips & tutorials
run by my friend Erin (check her out too also awesome!)

  6. Please visit Lesley's blog http://www.patchnblock.blogspot.com to find out more about Harriet & Carrie Hargrave's "Quilter's Academy" series. It goes from freshman year to Master's class - like going to university! I had the good fortune to take a class with Harriet in Nov. 2010, and I learned so much - she's one smart cookie! Her quilt store is based in Colorado, USA and her website is www.harriethargrave.com Let me know if you purchase the QA Vol. 1...there's some bloggers online who are blogging about their progress through the series and it's a way to really get to know the entire process and make beautifully designed quilts - and to learn to quilt your own!
